air conditioning company recommendations
Would like recommendations of AC companies in the lakes region. We have a central system that needs replacing and wanted to looked beyond our current company (who shall remain nameless) to see who forum members like. Appreciate your feedback.

Energy Savers in Belmont
Even though it is ductless, it is tons better than the old systems. And cheaper too. I replaced my central air when we remodeled 10 years ago. Replaced it with the Mitsi Split. Never regret it!

Lakes Region HVAC
...great service. Smart, professional, techs. We've used them for about 7 years. They service us both at the lake and in Bedford. They also are skilled in geothermal, which is what we have here. Definitely recommend them.

By using the word “replace”, are you ripping and replacing the existing ducted system, or just replacing the outdoor unit and cleaning the existing system?

replacing outside units
We have two outside units to service several zones in our home. There are two air exchangers indoors which convert refrigerant to cooled air and then circulated through existing duct work. One of the units failed after only 14 years (used roughly 1 month a year for 14 years - disappointing to say the least). We just want to replace the failed unit with a new one to feed current duct system. Not exactly happy with our current vendor.
