Default need carpenter to install thru wall air conditioner

We are looking to install an air conditioner for my and the dog's comfort. The only place it can be installed is thru the wall in the living room. Electricity is already present on the porch wall to do this. Does anyone know of a carpenter
who could make this installation.
Thanks in advance.

Have you considered a single head mini-split unit? It will be a bit more expensive, but you wouldn’t need a carpenter and any of the a/c companies can install it in a couple hours. It will also be much quieter and more efficient than a thru-wall a/c.

Yes, I have given thought to that scenario. Problem is that the exterior unit would take up valuable space on the porch. Heat is not a consideration since we are not there in cold weather and the Dyson Hot+cool provides adequate heat without using baseboard electric. Also the A/C would be placed high on the wall so a unit with remote would be necessary.

If you use a good mini-split installer, he may be able to place the compressor somewhere other than the porch. I’ve seen some installations under a porch & one of mine is about 35’ horizontally away from the head unit. If you don’t need a “hyper-heat” mini-split you can get a less expensive regular one and, they all come w/handheld remote control units.

Thank you BigGuy. I should have mentioned that this is a condo and there is a unit under the porch, also I cannot put anything on the outside of the building.
However as suggested a mini installer may have suggestions as to placement.
