Have used Chippers the past few years for just that reason. Also, used Acorn to free climb and remove a very large white pine along the shoreline

I've used Top Notch out of Campton three times now and would call them again in a heartbeat.

Default Arbortech

I’ve used Arbortech out of Gilford out on Rattlesnake. Fair and have really great customer communication. They sent out climbers to take down some impossible trees near my place. Job done well and super clean up.

Another vote for Arbortech - had Court take care of some pretty tricky stuff in the past. Always found them to be fair priced and professional.

Another vote for Arbortech. Our association recently used them to remove several pine trees. They were excellent.

In my former HOA we used both Arbortech and Chippers. Both excellent can’t go wrong either way.

You need to get a written quote from one company, to show to another company who will automatically beat their price. Call Greenleaf and Donovan and do that to beat them down and then go back to the first guy and hit em again, and then bring in a third company.

Donovan now has a very nice small advertisement temporarily on the Laverack-Hawkins Brook Trail, out back the MVSB and close to the tennis courts, on how Donovan recently removed a problem stump from the middle of the trail that was put there under the winter snow by aliens from outer space, last January, there, for no charge except for their small sign advertisement along the nature trail, there. .....

ArborTech

On two occasions they took down problem trees on Welch for us. And they also did so for several neighbors on Welch. All had to be done with climbers. Courtney Kelly is one of the best.

I agree. We hired Courtney a number of years ago to handle a difficult take-down of two trees that were very close to our house. He and his crew handled the job beautifully.

I tried to join the Arborteck/Courtney fan club a couple of years ago but couldn’t afford the initiation fees…his price was over 2x what I ended up paying. The tall front yard spruce was expertly taken down by Curt at Pemi Treeworks. Highly recommended!

I used Court at Arbortech a couple of times and was pleased. He does a very good job as others have noted. I lined him up for a third job and decided to get a second quote and it was 50% of his quote! I don’t think his pricing is generally higher than other arborists but when tree services get busy their prices rise exponentially and Arbortech is no different. Thus, it is always best to get two or three quotes for tree work. I’ve been amazed at how variable the quotes can be for the same work.

Agree. Arbortech quotes are higher then most. But, the professional advice and quality of work can’t be matched. Had them take down a very large lakeside white pine. Free climb cutting and removal was required as you could not get a crane in its location. Highly recommend

If Arbortech is booked out try these guys. Again, not the least expensive, but they know what they are doing. Based in Wolfeboro but will go anywhere
