I talked with the registry yesterday, the told me that they are still sending them out.

Interesting to note that I talked with the town about the trailer reg's and told me that they were sent out on 1/18/13 for the January renewals . I asked if they could resend and got a "no, not possible". I tried to renewal via E-Reg and because there is a change of address, I have to renewal in person.

Additionally, I think the post office lost an entire week of mail...I went on a cruise and had my mail held , when I got back, I had nothing...still looking for health insurance card mailed on 12/19/13 !

A West Marine gift card was lost in the mail. I called WM and they sent it out in time for Christmas. I am still looking for it. I'm glad I am not the only one.

VERY interesting! We haven't recieved our either.

How could all this mail be mixed up or lost? Was there an accident involving a mail truck, or an incident of some sort?

I have to add that I've had some strange problems with the USPS recently. As you may know I sell Bizer charts through this site. They are mailed at the Post Office. I probably have mailed 1000 or more over the years and never had any lost until recently. Several people have contacted me since the summer saying that they did not receive their charts. In December a returned chart showed up in my PO box. It had been mailed in April. In August the USPS put a sticker on it saying "moved, left no forwarding address". Then it took another 4 months to get back to my PO box. I contacted the buyer and they had not moved and the mailing address was accurate. Unfortunately they had forgotten about the order and never told me that it was never delivered.

This is one of about 6 delivery problems I've had recently after years of perfect service.

My other complaint is that we now get our home mail delivered after 6 pm on most days and some days we are skipped altogether. Overall the service seems to be deteriorating.

Don, I'm having the same problem here in Clifton, NJ. My other family members are not having problems in their towns, but most days my mail arrives between 5 and 6 pm and there have been times when I haven't gotten mail for 2 days in a row. Something is definitely wrong. The mailman normally parks on my corner to deliver to the homes on my block, and on the days when I didn't receive mail the truck was nowhere in sight, so the rest of the neighbors didn't get any mail either. When I called the post office they said that the volume of mail is down, but what is the probability that the whole neighborhood didn't get any mail on a given day? They hung up on me after I asked that question.

Default Usps

This past year I've had more issues with USPS than I can recall in any given year. The worst offender is the FedEx Smartpost, which uses Fedex to move stuff around and relies on the USPS to deliver. Have had packages go missing for days in that situation (and not just one either), and no one (not USPS, nor FedEx) wants to be responsible for it. The USPS lady told me to talk to Amazon, that "a lot of times they'll just send you another one". Uh, what?

I sure hope the reg isn't lost... I'll give it a bit longer before I worry.

Default Another Problem With Mail...

Is, that just two weeks ago the Treasurer of our Fellowship mailed out checks to pay for Electricity, Phone and Rent, just as he’s been doing for years now, and these checks never reached there intended recipients… It seems that with the State of our economy reaching ‘Critical Mass’, so to speak, that there are some pretty desperate people out there whom have resorted to Fishing Mail Drops, and landing some credit cards, checks and such to cash in on…So they discard all other mail, and of course it never reaches its intended recipients either…

Just my 2 cents worth… and I hope this covers it.

Default we are doing all we can to help them out...

So as not to overload the USPS and thereby cause others to have lost, delayed, or misdirected mail, we are now paying virtually all our bills on line. Not sure when we will use up the 100 roll of forever stamps we bought last month.

Default Boat Reg Renewal

I have only once, in 15 yrs. of having a NH boat Registration ever received a renewal in the mail. I thought for years, that out of stater's didn't get one, then it shows up, but then the next year, nothing again. Havent had one since that one strange year. Checked with Marine Patrol. Correct address. No answer why, but I just stop in on my first day back to the lake and they renew me every year, so I just don't really care any more. As long as I get to boat...I am happy.

It's 2014.....no online renewal capability yet? That would be too simple.

Default questions that make you say huh

My two boat registration forms came a few days apart. The strange thing was the postage. One, sent from zip 03301 had 38.4 cents postage while the other, mailed a day later from zip 03305 had 46 cents postage. Now, 7.6 cents isn't much, unless you are sending thousands, which they are. Both source zips are in Concord. Why different zips and why different postages?

Default Dual registrations

I got my two yesterday, $0.384 postage. Exactly identical to the two sets I got postmarked January 3, also $0.384 postage. The early one were from 03305, the later ones from 03301.

Anybody else get duplicates? An extra $0.384 times 100,000 registrations mailed (not all renew) would pay for a couple of MP officers for the summer. They should do this all on line, but the Towns don't want to give up the $$ they get for registrations at Marinas and Town Halls. Can't blame them.

Default bulk mail...

My only involvement with bulk mail was several years ago, and the items had to be sorted by zip code (no problem), had to have a permit (no problem), and the amount you paid depended on how many items you were mailing in that batch. If you met the minimum only, then it was $.xx (I think the minimum was 200 pieces). If we hit the next level, like say 500 pieces, the price dropped a little. More you mailed, the less it cost.

If the zip 03305 batch didn't meet the minimum, no discount.

It might not still be true but years ago when I checked you could only send out things like advertising in bulk mail. Statements could not be sent that way. I don't know if boat registrations would be included in billing but I would think so.

BTW we got four out of 5 boat registrations.

I am sending my registrations to Concord for the first time. I am assuming since it doesn't say otherwise that you send the complete form and they send you back your portion? Thanks for the help.

I email motor vehicles and they told me to write a check for the same cost as last years and send a copy of the old registration and completed new registration form.

Mailed them on 1/26/14 and received both 2014 registrations yesterday. Yipee, Yahooee . One day closer to spring !!!

Boat Registration not in the cards this winter. Sold the Eleanor Rose a week ago. Will be looking to downsize but not in a rush - will wait to find the right boat.

Default Going to town hall in Alton...

We have our two vehicles and boat trailer that are due for re-registration in March, so we will take our boat registration in at the same time.

Always nice to visit with our Town Clerk Lisa while we get the registrations straightened out.

Smile great video

What a great video PBFF - all the area reators should use it as a recruiting tool! That is exactly what makes the lake such a great place for so many families and friends. Also, just what I needed looking out at two feet of wet snow and grey skies.

Bring on ice-out! Can't wait! The song Summer Breeze reminds me of my college days.

Default Registration fees

Boats can be registered January 1st and many do it immediately.I know its peanuts but I always wondered why one would rush to give your money for something you wont use for 4-5 months.

In my case, in 4-5 months I'll be saying,"Where the heck did I put that darn boat reg."

As opposed to what I would do? "Now where the heck did I put those registration papers and stickers?" (actually did that one year...finally found them after a week of looking)

I registered my Yamaha jet ski the first week in January and I have used it several times since then. Let's see: I've been to Marco Island, Sanibel, Naples, Fort Myers Beach.........................Water is only about 75 now but it should warm up soon.

Yes, I just downloaded the full registration and added my change of address ( again).

The funny part was I received the stickers before they cashed the checks!

It is just an item on my check off list to do. I just dont want to forget to do it.

Plus, when you look out the window and see 40" of snow on the ground, you know it will end soon...

I always lose stuff like this too.

Here's what I do: I have one folder that all boat info goes into. Logs, receipts, repair slips, registration info, etc.

So any time I'm looking for something for my boat, it's in that folder! (or I can't find it).

So when the renewal forms come in the mail... it goes into the front of the folder.

Maybe this will work for you?
