Default Great pizza in Alton

Although many of the forum members are on the northern end of the lake, I would like to recommend Jack's Pizza located in the Circle Grocery on the Alton traffic circle. Coming from NJ, which has some of the best pizzerias in the northeast, I was surprised how good this pizza was. Thin crust and excellent sauce, just like my favorite NJ pizza place. The sausage pie was exceptionally good, and the 16" cheese pizza was $10.95 last summer! I am just sorry I didn't try it sooner.

Default Jacks Pizza

Agreed: Jack's is some of the best pizza going, very consistent and reliable, and a value as well. Not to be ignored.

Default Tasty but

I stopped in and got a couple of slices from a 14inch pie. I did not look at the menu. I just saw the buffalo chicken pie on display and asked for two slices.

I thought it was a very good pizza but I think they may have priced it based on big city pricing. I hope they get out and check out the nearby options and then make the appropriate alterations. 2 slices from a 14” for $10 is a bit much even though it was a very tasty pie.
