Default Getting to Meredith

Quick question for anyone who knows. Is Waukewan Street open and likely to be quicker than staying on 104? Looking to get to Sheps tonight (getting off 93) around 8:00 and figure traffic will be pretty heavy due to bike week/Laconia Harley Davidson store. I have vague memories of construction last year and assume it's over but would like to confirm.

As an aside, didn't that road, at least the top part, have a different name years ago? I remember it being something like Copperhead Road - that wasn't the name but it's what we called it based on the Steve Earle song.

Thanks!

Yes, take Waukewan.

Traffic before and after the Harley dealer was backed up for a while every day last weekend.

Depending on overall traffic, you might even want to take exit 24 and come in the back way.

Gonna be a rainy stretch, though, so it might not be as bad as it could be.
