Default "Mark Forums Read"

Hi Don,
I am having some trouble with the "Mark Forums Read" button, listed under "Quick Links". My habit is that when I am done reading the forum, I click that link. Since this past weekend, when I click on "Quick Links", nothing happens. The menu box does not appear. I have found that if I click around the forum, it will eventually work. I have not found a consistent solution, as it does not appear to work/not work in any single area whether it be on the forum menu or in a topic itself. I have even had to go into my CP to click it.

Not a big deal, just wanted to let you know.
Thanks!
Chip

PS I noticed that if I click "Quick Links" while typing this, it does work.

From what you say it seems like you're not seeing the Quick Links drop down menu.

The drop down menu doesn't work until the page is fully loaded. I've noticed lately that the Google ads are sometimes slow to load and a few things like the drop-down menus don't work until the page is completely loaded. Look for the moving status indicator in your tab or the "done" message in the status bar at the bottom of your browser to know if the page has finished loading. I don't mean to pass the buck and blame it on Google but that is all I can think of at the moment.

I had not noticed if the page was still loading, but I will check it out. Thanks Don!

Don, just wanted you to know that I still encounter the problem. Page says "Done" at the bottom.

Sorry, I don't know why that is happening on your computer. I haven't been able to reproduce it on any of the computers I use.

My best suggestion is to clear your browser cache and try again. Ctrl-F5 will also force a fresh reload of the page. If that doesn't help try it in another browser like Firefox or on another computer.

I'll keep checking to see if I can reproduce it but I suspect there is something going on with your computer or browser.

Don

Default No problems here either

After reading this thread, I logged in and after reading the forums, I used the Mark read command, with no problems. Sorry Chip.

Thanks guys, like I said, it isn't a big deal. Just an extra click here or there. I think I can handle that.
