Default Storm

Quite a little storm came through just before 5:00 pm today. Here’s a quick video of it from Welch Island. Wind speed hit 42 mph on my weather station. Quite a few tree branches down out here but power stayed on! Hope everyone was safely off the water…

Short, but nasty. Still many outages in Moultonborough. No estimate of power restoration. At least the generator works.

Power back on in moultonboro at 900 pm
Rt 109 was closed at Severance Road just before Bald Peak
40 + MPH winds and heavy rain
Tree took down the power lines

We still are without power in Moultonborough - just beyond Suissevale - grateful for generator.

Power restored 10:50.

We were off island and missed the show. Our weather station showed a sharp peak of 52 mph.

At 5:55 I got a text from Eversource stating there was an outage in the area of our camp. As I still had connection to the weather station and heat pumps, the power was still good on the Welch north branch. A check with the Eversource outage map showed 19 out on the south branch. Still out as of now with estimated restoration 3pm today.

Default South Welch

South Welch: My niece is at camp and reports that power flickered out long enough to make the clocks blink Tuesday afternoon, but otherwise no loss of power. Recent email from Eversource indicates there may still be some outages. Perhaps this is a transformers that need to be reset, or trees between the main line and individual camps?

That’s when we got power. Spectrum cable and internet not restored until late this morning.
