Laconia lodging
Hi all. Planning on attending a concert at Laconia Colonial next month. Would prefer to stay the night in the Laconia area rather than drive back to Tuftonboro. Any recommendations for decent lodging that won't break the bank? Don't need breakfast or anything. Just a one night stand.
Thanks

There isn't much in the area.
I haven't been in the Landmark Inn in decades... so can't say decent or not... and no idea what the price per night may be. |

Best Western, (formerly Landmark)
The Best Western right downtown at the big intersection is probably your best bet fpr basic lodging. I've never been in the place, nor do I know anyone who has, but it was recently bought by a new owner several years ago when it changed to a Best Western and it appears they've put a bunch of money into it to spiff the place up.
Another option could be The Margate, but based on what you're looking for, that may be overkill, both in amenities and $$. |

Two hotels came to mind.
Best Western Plus downtown Laconia. Great reviews since they open.
TownePlace Suites by Marriott Gilford. Also, a great place to stay. Both offer Best Western / Marriott perks for frequent flyers. I find online prices with various organizational discounts the way to go. HotelTonight app has steep discounts if they are looking for bookings.

Best Western it is.
Thanks everyone. Best Western is about $100 for the two of us and easy walking distance. Also thinking about Trillium's for dinner. How is it?

If you're looking for 'comfort food'. You can't go wrong with Hector's. Into sushi? Try the Koung Sushi Mart on Canal Street.

Friend I'm going with ate at Hectors last time he was at the Colonial. Said it was good but wanted to try Trillium's. Interesting menu. I'll give Local Eatery a look also.

Brickfront
You may want to consider the Brickfront. This is our go-to when the local restaurants are overwhelmed with tourists. Good food, good drinks, a solid experience. Certainly not high end, but better than Hector's and a more traditional menu than Local Eatery.
