Default Wood carver for bears

hi all, looking for a wood carver to carve a couple of bears for me

John, on rte 104 in Meredith at the Meredith Trading post property. I have 2 of his. Very good work, and he uses only good logs so they last!

I second John... We have three of his bears there 6 years old and still look great.

3's a charm, I have two of his also. He makes everything from furniture to dolphins.....

This is a serious decision. Do you want a comic bear or a serious bear? I also have 2 of John's bears; his are serious. The little one is cute but still a bear. Many of the other bears I've seen around the lake are the comic variety.

Decisions,decisions.

Default On-site work

Had John over to carve a standing tree on our land about 3 years ago.
He had to work with the truck size, slant... He gave us options on what could be done given the limitations and created something unique to our requests.

Needless to say, the bear came out great and still looks so.

I agree with comments about the look of the bear - in particular the face
Seems like each carver has his/her own style.
Best to make sure you like the "look" of other bears the carver has done first.

Good luck and send some pictures if you do get one.

john is a very rude person. Stop in on him to buy two bears
for my wife he told me he could not be bothered. Not hay iam
back up and will take your order and will be a couple of months to get it to you. That would have bin ok..
