Welcome to the Forum. Management at West Alton Marina seems to be in a sort of state of flux. Other pontoon dealers all seem stable.

So true! However, one may be able to get a bargain at West Alton Marina in light of all the rumors that are going on.....

Who knows if they are having cash flow issues these days or not.

Contact Winnisquam / WOW Marine. They "probably" have the largest stock of pontoons available on the lake. Great people to deal with also!

I will second Dan's recommendation for Winnisquam Marine.... on the north side of the lake Melvin Village Marina is also good choice....

Biggest problem for any dealership right now is inventory....

A note on Winnisquam Marine, if buy used be careful I find that there boats are mechanically sound..... but many of them that I have look at over the years have had cosmetic issues, that are not always easy to spot... This doesn't mean that Winnisquam Marine trying to pull one over on people, lots of time they just haven't seen the issue I don't believe they do a good job screening for cosmetic issues. In my experience however they are willing to work with the current owner (be it themselves or the owner of a brokerage Boat), to remedy the situation..

As a new dealer for Coach pontoons, Northwater Marine (used to be Thurston’s) is advertising an introductory price of $10K off list, so might be worth a look in terms of new boats.

I was at Irwin Marine in Laconia today and saw at least one new tri-toon.

I suspect that it is for sale.

Is West Alton selling boats now? They haven't in the past?

I have been there to look at boats for sale. I don't think they are a new boat dealer. As with much else, any business relationship to the seller was unknown to me. I looked at the boat and left without talking to anybody. Point remains, they are in flux and other marinas are stable.

With the very high price of gasoline..... just fuhgetabout boats and go swimming the 62.1-degree Lake Winnipesaukee water with a home made $2.99 foam noodle, swim safe belt and a $60 O'Neill Thermo top from Parafunalia!

So, in the last week the water temp has dropped from 66 down to 62.

Boat gas at the marina is like very expensive. .....

Default Tritune recommendation

Would 400 plus hours on a 2019 tritune be a lot?

I have been looking at many used and no too savvy with engine times.

Thank you for any info on this.

400 hours, I believe, is when required maintenance begins on most marine engines

Depends on the motor and maintenance, right?

We've got a Mercury 150 OB we bought new in '16 that has just over 300 hours. This past winter, we replaced the plugs and did a complete tune-up as we noticed the top RPM was a tad off. Every other winter has had basic maintenance and oil.

Were I looking for a tritoon, I'd give the two dealers above my first calls: Melvin Village Marina and Winnisquam on Winnipesaukee.

No, that is not a lot of hours overall but definitely worthy of having a certified mechanic look at it unless your buying from a local Marina who is giving you some kind of warranty.
