Default Security Camera issues with 5G connection

I'm having security Camera issues with 5G connection with my mobile phone.
Old phone with 4g had no issues.

Security cameras are made by ReoLink, and about 2+ yrs old.
My new mobile phone is a T-Mobile Revvl 6 Pro 5G.

I suspect the cameras are not adaptable with 5G phone technology.

Thoughts ?

I’m guessing that your security camera connects to your phone thru your wi-fi net work? (Camera to wi-fi to internet to phone thru a 5G connection). If that is the case your phone’s 5G connection to your provider shouldn’t be the issue.

Default Wifi

Are you using the phone itself as a hotspot for the cameras or a router?

I do know that older devices and many "smart devices" require 2.4GHz Wifi and not the 5GHz band (This is not to be confused with "5G" for the phone which is different - that 5G is the connection to the cell network). So whatever the cameras are connecting too may need that 2.4 wifi band. Most routers today offer both bands and most devices find the right one. However, some devices require a devoted 2.4GHz band (I know zmodo is like that), so in these cases, some create a 2nd wifi name on the router that is just 2.4GHz for such devices and point the devices to that.

Maybe the above helps - possibly it's all not relevant to your problem...
I apologize if it is the latter...
