Yup, as of this writing 12 and over must show a proof of vaccination and wear a mask. May change quickly as Mayor Wu is taking fire from all sides to end mandates

Lots of fire toward the Mayor, but just from one side, or maybe the far ends of each side. Plenty of people in Boston support the Mayor's position until the data look better.

One issue that gets lost but is on the Mayor's mind is that there's a huge range of covid cases across Boston's neighborhoods. Wealthier places (basically all the ones you think of first) have incredibly low rates of covid and do not really need mask mandates any more. But less wealthy, less well-educated (LESS VACCINATED!) communities, such as East Boston are still ablaze with new cases and high positivity rates.

She can't really tell the rich people to drop their masks and the poor people to suck it up, so she's stuck for a while

A perfect reason to stay away from the show and from Boston.

..... http://www.twitter.com/NH_StatePolic...79170187513864 ...... the officer in the left probably removed his face mask just for the photo ...... what the heck .... no big deal. Wearing a mask for longer than 15-minutes gets OLD, fast!

The omnicron variant seems to be lessening in contagiousness ..... thankfully! ..... and click on the Boston Boat Show photos .... looks like a lot of very sturdy, all-weather boats on display.

This evening Boston just dropped their vaccine mandates. Effective immediately

My son went to the Boat Show and said it was maybe a third or half the size from last year. A lot less inventory available right now. No Boston Whalers.

The crowds were smaller but hopefully that will change after the mask mandate was dropped.

But anyone that enjoys the smell of fresh fiberglass will still be happy!

The inside mask mandates are still in place. It was the proof of vaccinated that was dropped. Hearing many inside venues have stopped enforcing the mask mandates.

At least in Boston and inside of 95, mask wearing is still tightly enforced. Not so much further from the city. My guess is another week or two and the masks will be gone for most places. Mayor Wu set out specific measures on when she'd drop the vax and mask requirements, and we hit mask numbers a few days ago. If trends stay, masks will go soon.

Masks haven't been enforced in Boston in months regardless of whatever mandate is in place. Cities like Cambridge and Somerville have stayed strong on mask enforcement, Boston not so much at all. Just figured I'd throw some first hand experience in for clarification.

Re: the boat show, I went last week and nobody requested proof of vaccination and 80+% of people in the venue (employees, vendors, and patrons) were NOT wearing masks. Overall, relatively dismal with it being a fraction of the size of what it was. There was a heavy Lakes Region presence of marinas though.
