Boat flips in Gilford...
From today's Citizen, boat flips in Gilford..luckily neither occupant injured.

Glad no one was hurt. I wonder what they hit. Carr Point is right near my condo. I boat by there all the time. I don't think there are any rocks in the area. Water is 40'+ deep unless you're close to shore or in a mooring field. Anybody know anything else?

Interesting the way this article is worded, the submerged object is not identified, yet the fact that the boat was traveling at a "high rate of speed" is.
Be interesting to read more details of what happened as the facts are released. |

I noticed a lot of Marine Patrol boats with flashing lights near the Marina by the bridge to Long Island on Saturday night It was about 8:00 or 9:00 P.M. on Saturday night, July 17th . Does anyone know why?
