Default Wood Pellets ?

Just ordered my third ton of wood pellets for the upcoming winter season.
With the price of everything going up better to be prepared.

FYI... price per ton has gone up about $25, since last order in May with same vendor. What are others seeing for prices per ton ?

Currently awaiting shipment and will work our way down the list of first come first serve.

I'm just quoting the Lavalley-Middleton price.
I don't use wood pellets.

My shop has a wood stove and I have forest to fuel it.

Gilford True Value is at $320/ton delivered for Green Supreme.

Lowe's pickup at store looks like $292/ton unknown brand and $337/ton for Greene Team.
No idea what their delivery cost is.

A ton of pellets has the BTU content of about 118 gal of fuel oil which at $5/gal is $590.

Default Tractor Supply

Been using Tractor Supply for years. Not top tier but my Harmon eats anything and 2 ton gets me through the winter. $290 per ton but with pre-season $25/ton discount, I can order early and pickup by October 1st.

I have been burning pellets since 1997. I have also found that Tractor Supply was very competitive. In most of Maine, NH and VT, TSCs pellets come from Maine Wood Pellets in Athens, Maine. A decent middle of the road hardwood blend that burns very well in my Harman stove. Anyone that owns a Harman knows that it will burn anything. Other stoves can be more finicky.
TSCs August deal makes them a no brainer for me.
