Default Slow Loading

Anyone else having issues with the forum pages loading slow? It’s not my internet service as it’s only happening on this page...

Dan

I noticed it too. At first I thought it was my Internet, but it's not - it is just this page.

Same.

It seems to be related to database-driven pages. Eg: the "New Posts" page loads slowly, but the reply-to-comment page is pretty quick.

same for that one page. I open it when I get to work and it freezes the browser for about 90 seconds. Seems better for the rest of the day after that

I've been working on it since last week. It's intermittent and no problems show in the logs so it's been hard to track down. I'll continue to chase it. Thanks for your patience.

didn't know if it was happening to others, but I am finding that when I use the new post button, posts that I have not seen have been in The threads below have not been updated since your last visit but still contain unread posts.

Yes agree it is very intermittent.... I have seen it with when I have been logged onto several different networks, so I knew it wasn't just my network.... On all those networks I have time, where it seems to be just as quick as ever.....

I think we've got it fixed. For the first time in about 24 years running this site I hired a server specialist to help identify the performance issues and do a full security audit of my server. So far he's done a great job and has fixed many underlying issues that were beyond my experience.

He also fixed the Photopost problem although right now it is still having trouble when viewed in Chrome, but not in Firefox or Internet Explorer. We hope to have it working properly in Chrome by tomorrow.

Fantastic news Don! We all took a few eggs from our PhotoPost Fans, and I'm not talking about Eastah.

Thank you Don,
Terry

The problem using Chrome has been fixed and Photopost is now working normally on all browsers that I tested.
