Have had a few this summer, they are just ok. The best one this summer was at Horsefeathers in North Conway

Girlfriend visiting from San Francisco...
Where do I take her for lobster rolls? Atmosphere and price not as important as the food.
Thank you...

Though I didn’t have one this year, The Lyons Den has served a great one in the past. You can’t go wrong with any of the food there! Happy Lobster Rolling! Dan

I may be a little different because I like mine poached with hot butter but I had excellent fresh lobster rolls at Town Docks, Garwoods and Weathervane this season

Lobster Rolls
I hear Vista Goods has the best and lower priced than anything on the southern side of Winni. Disclaimer- not tried, just heard from several people.

I like Akwa Bar for the food (I always get a lobster roll), the drinks and the view!

I know everyone will think I'm nuts but try The 99 for lobster rolls! Not kidding, I've tried most of the ones mentioned here and many more. The 99 ones are the best. Try it before you slam me.

Lobster Rolls - tried The 99
Went to The 99 earlier and tried theirs based on recommendations herein.
Not the BLt or buttered, but the "Colossal" which is the basic ... very good sized portion, good slaw, good amount of fries. Couldn't finish it - ate all lobster, half the roll, half the fries and all slaw. Highly recommend. GB |

After reading about lobster rolls, I had an urge to get one, so we drove out to Poor People's Pub last night around 6pm.
I chose the hot one, which was served with a little pot of melted butter you could pour on yourself. There was a lot of lobster in that bun, and I really enjoyed it. I guess $19.99 is around the going price these days, and I would return. (Another 18 mile drive for dinner!) |
