Michael's at the Weirs
Does anyone know if Michael's at the Weirs is still open? Friends up in the area last weekend thought that they had closed. We've been a couple of times this past summer and the food was pretty good. Just wondering if maybe they closed for the season? Thanks.

Personally --- No loss there!
Hope it gets occupied by another resturaunt quickly, it is such an extremely handy location for us. Not withstanding the issues associated with the place towards the end of it's tenure, we did enjoy the Willows when it was there!! Seems like a perfect (potential) location for someone if they keep it a little more upscale than other locations around the Wiers as they are just far enough from Merideth so as not to be competing head to head with the likes of Mame's, Abondantes, Church Landing et al. I vote for a good Italian resturant!!

Went to the Willow's a few times and were pleased. This year we went to Michael's with guests and found the meal so-so and nothing to write home about. Something of quality would be a plus for the Weirs.

I never made it to Michaels, but did enjoy the Willows. Whatever happened to it?

How can one say this "Michael's has closed at the Weirs but has relocated to the Gunstock Inn I think they are already open"? Is the chef now employed at Gunstock Inn? That place changes chefs and other issues like the snap of fingers. Did the business (Micheal's) move there, or the owner now employed there? Please clarify the rumors....... |

One could say that the former owner of Willow's is not the owner of Michaels'. The owner of Michael's owned Goodfella's, moved to the Weirs and that Michael's closed at the Weirs but moved up to the Gunstock Inn and IS open. Kinda like reading a good Stephan King novel
