Default Lake Winnipesaukee Cleanup Event: May 13

📣💧SAVE THE DATE!💧📣

We are excited to announce that LWA will be partnering with the Lake Winnipesaukee Community Cleanup (LWCC) this year to host their annual cleanup event!

Join us on Saturday, May 13th to help "Keep Winni Blue"! After the cleanup from 9 AM - 12 PM, come gather with us at Goodhue Boat Co. in Meredith for a Wrap Up Party (12 PM - 3 PM) where there will be food from our friends at 603Eatz and some fun raffle prizes. 🌭🍔🎁

We're looking for volunteers to help cleanup around our beloved lake and for sponsors to help fund the event/or donate raffle prizes. Check out the link below or scan the QR code in the attached flyer for more details regarding access points, volunteer sign up, and donor/sponsor info.

See you there! 🌊♻️💙

Default Fall cleanup

Cleaning up in the spring is like sweeping the floor before the horse. I like to see a fall cleanup when the lake level is low. It can be more efficient and get the mess left behind during the summer season.

We are going to try to work on scheduling another cleanup event in the fall! In the Spring, the amount of trash left behind from winter recreational activities, and the movement of that debris from snow melt is a concern. Thank you for your suggestion!

Its like cleaning the Camp in the spring... You can't clean the mess that might be left behind during the summer...

Where and how do you "clean up" around the lake?

Shoreline?

Parks?

Take it from two people that pick up litter practically year-round, it is needed 12 months a year. For example, just last week we picked up seven blue bagfuls of litter on Lily Pond Road in Gilford.
And the season hasn’t even started yet. 🤦🏼*♀️🤦🏼*♀️🤦🏼*♀️🤦🏼*♀️
