Default Good Dog, Rude Owners

I have a dog, I am truly a dog lover. I have had a dog and a cat all my life.
That said, Please keep your from barking outside.Nobody, more than me, loves the sound of little FIDO Yelping, so often, we cant sit outside in the screen house,or when ROVER'S constant Ear shattering Bark/ Sequel wont let us enjoy
the sounds of a camp fire. Come on guys you know who you are, What do you think Mr. Snuffy is doing when you take your city guest to the Bob House, for 3 hours, and leave him chained up outside the camp? Is it (A) raking leaves you may have over looked. (B) Quietly awaiting your return, laying very still on the porch. (C) Playing YAHTZEE. OR (D) BARKING HIS DOG BRAINS OUT ??
It's ( D ) ! Now that you know,( cause I just told ) you have no excuse. Your neighbors have been right all along . Marie Antonetta isn't really well behaved wile your away. Even worse ,are the people who are home and still let us All Enjoy the sound of there Mutt Barking outside wile there eating dinner Quietly inside. Please leave the darn K9 back in Weston at a friend s( I'm sure you have one) house or a kennel and just bring the cat.
P. S .was this a Great Summer or what ??

You should check your noise ordinance to see if it covers barking dogs then remind your neighbor. If that doesn't work, I wouldn't hesitate to call the police.

Our neighbor down here in Jersey left his dog out all night on Halloween one year. Barked and barked and barked. I called them - no answer. THought they were at a grandparent's house or something. So, I did not hesitate to call the police. Just as I was connecting to dispatch, their burglar alarm went off and then turned off. They didn't hear the dog. Unbelievable what people will do.

While you are at it, please pick up the dog mess. Stepped in one yesterday and it is really tough to clean off sneakers. Stinks too.

If this was written because of a particular neighbor have you tried speaking with them instead of a random post here? That tactic could prove to be way more effective.

Default It happens everywhere

I do quite a bit of work in Southdown and often see dog owners walking their dogs and letting them crap anywhere. Then there’s the ones who just let them out on there own to crap on anyone’s property.
There are so many people are out with their dogs off the leash also. Almost every town has a leash law. Now if that dog/cat ran out in front of a car the first person the owner is gonna blame is the driver when in fact it is his own ignorance that got the animal hit.
Don’t get me wrong I’ve grown up with animals all my life and couldn’t picture being without a dog, but with ownership comes responsibility. You open the door and let your animal out without being leashed then you are asking for problems. Nuff said!

I agree that dog owners can be very rude and inconsiderate of others when they allow their dogs to be a nuance - whether it's not picking up their mess, letting them bark, letting them run off leash, or other "dogs will be dogs" sorta things.

The title of your thread hits the nail on the head - the dogs are good dogs and are just bein' dogs, but it's the owners who are RUDE.

We've also already had a similar thread to this that might be of interest to you: http://www.winnipesaukee.com/forums/...ead.php?t=7346

Regarding the poop- just about every pet store sells those bag dispensers that look like a bone and attach to your leash.

We've tried those and they're awful to refill and the bags don't come out easily.

This kind (below) work better, in my opinion, and last longer:

Although the ideal dog will be able to clean up after himself...
