Today's winds would have moved it from the northwest—and quickly! The owner could be out of state. There must be dozens of O'Day sailboats on the lake. If I had one near me, I'd recognize it by the model. Some O'Day models do not require NH registration.
If you check the sail for a symbol, it could help to determine which O'Day model it is—and in whose immediate neighborhood it could have originated. |

Sail Boat
Let's just pray that some one lost his boat, and the boat hasn't lost it's "Skipper" somewhere on the lake! Just something to think about!

Now that you mention it, an elderly couple in an O'Day Mariner (19-footer) were sailing in Winter Harbor on that very-windy Wednesday. No O'Day Mariners had been sighted around Winter Harbor this season.
It was late in the afternoon, sailing out to open water—with good skill—when they sailed out of view. Of course, they could have secured their boat improperly later that day. O'Day Mariners will have a bold, rounded, "M" within a circle near the sail's peak. |

Found Boat, Missing Person
Has anyone claimed this boat, yet, or have divers searched the area?

OK...It's not the above O'Day Mariner: that boat was out in the Broads yesterday—with six aboard.
