Ice Prediction
lake (broads) will freeze over Thursday. crazy cold until then and Th supposed to be calm and a high of 8.

I don't disagree that a calm period and these temps could change things quickly. But right now I'm watching these gale force winds break up what little ice had formed on Merrymeeting. It's retreating quickly.

damn. that's a different forecast than I saw. crazy windy here at south point on Long Island. literally as windy as it gets

Paugus Bay caught last night..... I couldn't see much open water on my way to work.

People were skating and playing right off shore at the Suissevale launch this weekend. Granted they were right near shore and probably didn't venture very far out.
