Default Dox

Went to lunch today at Dox on Winnisquam…it was great all around from service to food and atmosphere!

Speaking with the owner I was happy to hear they were opening a second location on Winnipesaukee….on the pier at the Weirs where Anthony’s was! It is going to be a full service restaurant and I can tell you that if the food and service mimics what they have on Winnisquam, it will be a winner!

Congrats and good luck to DOX!!

Dan

I've been to Dox several times and it is terrific. Great food and drinks. Every day between 4 and 5 is happy hour where menu and drink items are half-off. Great deal!

Whoever remodeled the space did a great job.

Where it is so hard to get help, they must be doing something right to be looking to open a second location.

Finding great talent and keeping them engaged tells me the management is paying attention.

Went there by boat several times this summer. Food and service were excellent.
Having been in the business, you can just tell when a restaurant is being run well and on top of their game.

I've heard good things but have yet to try it.

I’m guessing that taking over the Anthony’s location will be seasonal?

My kids, in their late 20's and mid 30's, none of them married, no grandkids , have visited multiple times since the day they opened. All positive feedback and aligns with what we have heard about their 2 Massachusetts restaurants.

Over the past 6 months while out doing errands I have stopped by at various times and if I found a parking spot there was not a seat at the bar, always a great sign, but a reason to leave.

Day trip to the lake today with my wife to prepare for Xmas gathering. Left at 3:00 to head back to MA, driving by there was 4 parking spots, pulled in, 2 seats at the bar, perfect!

Cocktail, appetizer, light lunch, an attentive and engaging bartender, perfect!

The food was great!

Looking forward to Saturday afternoons in January and February, hopefully by sled, support local!

If you remember the 90's at that location, night and day difference.

I have read some things that seem to say that the people that own Dox on Winnisquam have taken over Anthony's on the peir and are making it a sit down restaurant? Is this true

According to the owner at DOX who I spoke with last week...Yes it is true.

I always loved it there but it was very poorly run and the food wasn't very good. I think a sit down restaurant with servers is the way to go there. I wish them luck!

I agree. The food was horrible and the whole indoor/outdoor space was terribly dated and inefficient. Hopefully it can get classed up because the view is unparalleled for that area.
