Exclamation Lost Cat—Carry Beach Area—Reward

(16-pounds of cat )

Late Friday afternoon, someone posted signs in the hope to find "Oreo"—a black-and-white cat. It's lost in the Sewall Road area of Wolfeboro and quite fat.

This weekend is shaping up to be a well-advertised weekend for yard sales, too, so "Wolfeboro shoppers"—keep your eyes peeled for any feline clue.

I don't have the owner's permission to post the number for you to reach, but it's printed at the bottom of three signs in the area of Carry Beach.

If you should locate this cat and be one of the first callers, remember that they've posted a reward of $1000. (!)

Does it have a collar? Wow...$1000 for a lost cat seems like a lot of money considering one has to wonder if a cat is lost or just out wandering as cats can be happy to do.

We had a lost cat some years ago and kept walking around the large wooded area. For several days we all searched and put posters on trees and rang doorbells, etc. In the end, I was out calling the cat's name in woods along a road that was being developed. No houses had been built yet. All of a sudden there was a "MEOW" and there was the cat way up in a tall tree. Lot's of cheering and crying for joy and one very hungry cat!!! Hope this family and cat have a wonderful reunion too. Fingers crossed. Please keep us informed. Pets really do become family members.

Default Worth a try?

I know this sounds weird, but I have heard it works. Tell the owner of the missing cat to put it's litter box (hopefully used!) outside. Apparently the cat will smell the litter and come home. I know it sounds crazy, but I've seen several posts on our local forum where people claim it worked for them. Can't hurt, right?

Oh Oreo - come home!
