Wink Come'on Wintah... :-)

I was selected by a team of riders to embark on a snowmobile trip from Anchorage Alaska, to Nova Scotia back in 1992. During the planning stage I was asked to pick out the sleds to use, although I eventually had to sit out the actual journey as I couldn't get the time off from work... :-(
I have some photos to add, but in the meantime, here's a link to the Bear Brook State Park's Snowmobile Museum, home to one of the sleds that recorded 10, 252 miles and made the Guinness Book of Records.
I will be back with more to this story, Photos...

It only took one short sled adventure back in 1982 to get me hooked!! :-)
And you can get a glimpse into what you can see by snowmobile by checking out some of my photo's in the Gallery here. Amazingly beautiful, and fun for the entire family during the sometimes LONG winters, and it gets you out and about and exercised. After all, only bears get skinnier during wintah hibernation... :-)

More to come...

So far. this has been more or less a pictorial of this event from 1992. Maybe, I can talk Team Captain Andre to join in and give some of the highlights of the trip...

Oh and, I have a treasured decal, 'momento' that I want to scan and post... It was mentioned to me about Old Timer's, you know, when you put a treasured item in a 'safe place', and then can't remembah just where that is!...
I'll keep looking... :-(
