i haven't, but hope to get out and do some fishin this weekend somewhere. from all the reports i've read, things have frozen up pretty solid.

i don't have a snowmobile though. have you thought about putting some ice scratchers on your machine? those really help in low snow or hard packed conditions.

Hi Derek;

I am going out on the ice in the ranger and four wheelers. The resaon I ask is for my brother in law, he wants to come up with his sleds and I am thinking there is not enough loose snow for sleds.

Yes I hear scratchers work great and would probably have them installed on my sleds if I didn't have a secondary way out on the ice (4 wheelers).

Good luck if you go out this weekend!

Dan

I was out this weekend. Rode around Meredith, then back from Meredith to Weirs. It's ok for the most part, but there are frozen tracks that could very easily toss your sled. Any entrance/exit to the lake it extremely bumpy with frozen tracks. Go slow there.

^ x2. i bought a sled on saturday, took it for a ride on sunday. hit the trails around the house (prison area) then went out on winnisquam. pretty rough out there but plenty of snow. frozen ruts all over the place making for a bumpy ride.
