Default Current Lake Conditions.

Hello,

By the looks of it on the Webcams it looks as though the recent rain and thaw has given way to colder temps and what was once slush is locked up bumpy ice. My brother in law who lives in the Center Harbor area said that there is activity on the ice but I was curious to get some reports on the conditions on the lake. Thanks so much for any input. Pray for snow.

Default I'll field this question

I will answer my own question here.

As of 1:42 PM on Sunday February 15 the lake is officially "Bullet Proof Ice." Limited to Zero snow cover. I just took a spin out on the lake on an ATV and the lake is very bumpy and all the slush and sled tracks are now frozen ruts and bumps. Not suitable for snowmobiling and dangerous on an ATV for that matter.

THINK SNOW!!!

Default Lake Conditions

Right now the lake is Solid, 12"-14" of solid black ice with 2"-4" of snow Ice (which was the slush), I drilled 3 holes today. 6-8 trucks on the ice out of Glendale today and saw a mini van go out towards Timber Island. I took the sled out at a snails pace, no snow, no lube and unless your ATV has chains it's not going anywhere fast. Once we get more snow it will be perfect
