Exclamation Belknap Snowmobilers - Work Party 10/20

This Sunday October 20th is the first work party of the 2013-2014 snowmobile season. We are meeting at Gilford Gardens, 221 Intervale Rd, Gilford NH (next to Beans & Greens) at 8:30 am and planning to do bridge repair on the Gilford side of the trails. We have two bridges to reconstruct and can use a good group of fellow volunteers to help get this year off right.

When you come, if possible, bring along your trusty hammer and a good sturdy pry bar or anything else you think could assist in the repairs. Coming to our work parties is good way to learn about what goes in to keeping our trails safe and fun to ride and don’t be surprised if you have a little fun in the process.

Hope to see you all there and as always remember “if you rode on it, a volunteer did it!”

Look for Gilford Trailmaster, Tyson McKenna.

Default 10/20 Work Party

Today was the first official work party of the 13/14 snowmobile season. Today we rebuilt 2 bridges, one along side Rt11 in Gilford and the other on the trail that leads to Belknap Mountain. I want to sincerely thank the group of volunteers that showed up to help today. At one point I counted 14 people who showed up to help. It was terrific because it made the work go very quickly and was also a lot of fun. Volunteerism is vital to the success of the club. So again, my sincere thanks to everyone who helped today and it was nice seeing some new faces and making some new friends. Work parties will continue every weekend until the opening of the trails. Keep an eye on the website for new announcements.

All the best,

Jon T. Bossey, President/Trail Administrator
Belknap Snowmobilers Inc.
