Default Restaurants with outdoor seating?

Okay, summer is on the horizon. We love dining outdoors and will even compromise our fussy food tastes to enjoy fresh air dining.

In the Meredith area we are aware of Guissepe's, Abondante, Canoe (screened porch), Lago (screened porch), Patrick's Pub (not a great view), and Town Docks.

Any suggestions for the best outdoor dining on the northern end of the lake?

Default Wolfeboro & Alton Bay

Garwoods, Joe Green's Upper Deck, and of course, the Dockside, all at or in close proximity to the docks in Wolfeboro, and the Wolfetrap in Back Bay if they open this year (I think they had outside dining).

Alton Bay has Pop's Clam Bar, Shibley's at the Pier, Shibleys ice cream (take out), JP China (small area), and the Dockside (few tables outside, short walk from the docks.

Default

The Ellacoya Barn & Grille in Gilford plans to have an outdoor seating area this summer (with a lovely view of Rt. 11!) and don't forget the River Run Deli near the Alton traffic circle....basically a take-out place with picnic tables. (dogs allowed!)

Default Outdoor dining on the lake

I believe they have outdoor seating at 51 Mill St. in Wolfeboro with a view of the Backbay. Their enclosed backporch is also great and offers the same view.

For real outdoor dining, try a picnic at the beach at Center Harbor. Across Rte. 25 at Heath's supermarket they have great rotisserie chickens and a deli counter with lots of good salads. Order up a picnic lunch and walk across the road to the town beach. The pavilion has lots of picnic tables and a view of the bay. Take a turn on the swings for an added treat. We always kept a picnic bag with paper goods and utensils in the boat for an impromptu lunch.

Thumbs up 51 Mill St.

51 Mill Street DOES have outdoor seating. It's right next to the chanel and the day we were there, there was a ski boat and skier doing the ski course.

It was pretty cool to watch. And because it's on the chanel, there was hardly any wind. Food was great too. Will definitely be back.
