Lantern slides from 1882 found containing 2 Steamboats unidentified
Found these lantern slides that have incredibly high resolution from the US Army containing the Mount and 2 steamships that look really interesting but are unidentified. The attachment is a blown up image of the original slide. Any info do they still exist. What's with the one in the back with an weird cabin? Any info would be much appreciated.

Probably gone like most unfortunately. I suspect that the boat in the background has canvas strips that wrap around for protection from the sun although I have never seen that before. Both boats were probably "for hire"
