Rainbow Trout in the shallows hunting for salmon eggs...
Had good luck this weekend in shallow, (2-3 feet of water), using salmon eggs. Salmon are laying their eggs this time of year in shallow and the rainbows come in to feed on them. Unfortunately for the Rainbow that I caught, there was a hook attached to the salmon eggs.... HA

I would have been drawn and quartered for releasing that fish. My wife and kids LOVE the salmon and rainbows from Winni. While I love to catch them, clean and cook them I don't eat fish. Go figure. Nice catch!
