Default Moultonborough Airport

Moultonborough Airport is up ticking in activity. Charter planes in and out and There is a new flight school there and rental planes, as well as scenic and fall foliage tours. Good to see them going again. Anyone been over there?

Saw a cool little blue copter over there a few days ago with the blades spinning. Took my dad on a scenic flight in a little Cessna out of there about 12-15 years ago for his birthday. Having grown up in the area, he was jazzed to see it all from the air.

Always great to see upticks in activity around public airports as that activity tends to benefit the surrounding community with economic activity. I piloted a C-152 into 53NH longer ago than I care to admit. Great views on the way in to runway 02. It’s a “one way in, one way out” airport.

I drive by there occasionally and it doesn’t look like it’s been improved in terms of width or length, so manage your weight and plan for a short field type take-off with your flaps to 10 degrees as you depart on 02.
