Default Red Hill Closed temporarily 1-30-2014

We are going to shut the Red Hill Trail down temporarily until we receive some more snow. It is extremely icy up there and we have had reports of snow machine accidents (and seen the plastic pieces and parts).

It looks like we may receive some snow Saturday night and then we are in a favorable storm pattern for a while (saw a potential bigger storm for Tuesday PM).

Where is the Red Hill Trail? Which Club maintains it?

Red Hill is part of the Moultonboro Snowmobile Club Trail System. It starts across from the Village Kitchen on RT25 and connects to Squam Lake on the back side. There multiple routes up and over Red Hill.

One of the BEST Trails anywhere.

Default Let it snow!

A shame to close Red Hill. I was on it Tuesday and thought it was pretty good, except for a few spots, but then I was the only sled I saw. It would not stand up to weekend traffic, or those without spiked treads. Let's all sing the Heikki Lunta Snowdance Song
