Default Fireworks 2021

Every page I can find still has dates for 2019. Besides the Margate fireworks, does anyone know of a schedule around the lake?

Default Meredith...

I believe that my wife saw on the Meredith FB page that the town has now decided to do their fireworks show this year. It's traditionally done on the night of the 4th as it gets dark

I think your dates are a bit off...and really at 11:59?

This is helpful, thanks. Based on the info I see there, it looks like the only lake fireworks that weekend are:

- Wolfboro, Friday, July 2nd @ 9:30pm
- Center Harbor, Sunday, July 4th @ 9:15pm

I don't see anything about Weirs, Alton, Meredith or others.

Seems a bit thin for the glorious 2021 return to summer. Anyone know of others, especially on Saturday or Sunday?

Guessing he meant 7 (For July) vs 4 (April)...

As for 11:59 - Weirs has always done their 4th of July Fireworks at 11:59PM the night of the 3rd so they can be the first in the state to launch their fireworks on the 4th.

Only reason I know this is because when we were kids, we used to drive to see Manchester's Fireworks on the 3rd with a 9:30 start and then zoom up to the Weirs Docks to see Laconia's display go off at midnight. Manchester's were always bigger and better, but to see them on the lake was always a fun experience.

For those Pyrotechnic fans out there - Portsmouth's Display (Pre Covid) became by far the best in the state that I had seen. The last few years, they were able to get big investments from Wentworth Douglas and a few others with the goal of outdoing Boston's display. The first year they did it, they were amazing, done to music etc. etc. etc. Challenge is if you want to go, you better get down there several hours early or have your parking/bus transportation figured out beforehand. Quickly became extremely popular. No idea the financial support or the current expectations quality of their display coming out of COVID...

Either way... to fireworks displays coming back, by Land and Lake!

Default Tiki Boats show?

I'm almost sure I saw that the Tiki Boats people were going to do another show this year (last years was great) at the Weirs. Trying to track down date/time

Really?? Can't believe I put April. Yes, those dates and times, in JULY, are correct. The 7/10 show is the one sponsored by Tiki, Flightcraft, etc.

Those are the "official" ones. The private businesses, which I've heard are much better anyway, are July 10th at 9 or 10.

Do you have a list of the local ones? We arrive July 10th for our vacation and would love to catch some. The list posted in this thread shows Franconia having a show on the 10th, but nothing about the local businesses?

The only ones that late are the ones put on by the businesses at the Weirs.

Anyone know if the Meredith fireworks are still on for tonight. Weather is improving but could remain questionable for this evening.

Is Meredith still having their fireworks tonight? If yes then what times do the docks close?

So coming up tomorrow for family vacation, and it just so happens the 1st weekly fireworks show in Weirs beach is happening at 9:30 tomorrow.

Question: Where are the best spots to watch? We are staying the The Summit so there is a chance that we can see them from the balcony (same spot as the camera https://summitresortnh.com/lakes-region-webcam/), but if not, where should we go to watch? I assume the beach and boardwalk are good spots, but may be busy.....

Thanks!

I'm not sure specifically where they are shooting them off this year (aka from a barge or from the beach), but I know in years past, it's typically been shot off from the beach, thus people weren't allowed on the beach from what I recall. Might be worth taking a stroll over there tomorrow to see if you see a barge being setup and loaded or not.

From land, the best spot might very well be from the boardwalk would be my suggestion. Might be worth checking into if the new Winnipsaukee Spirit will be boarding passengers to watch from the water. Best place to see any display is by boat in my opinion

The Weirs fireworks were great tonight. Seemed to be lots of quality shells...some that I don’t recall ever seeing before. Got to hand it to whoever is organizing these displays over the last few years. The shows have gotten so much better. Three or so year ago I felt they’d gotten a bit lame but everything seems to have been reinvigorated since then. Great way to cap off a beautiful day.
