Default New Addition To The Family!!!

My forum friends, I would like to introduce you to our new family member! This little girl below is "Hailey". We picked her up this afternoon and brought her to the island. She absolutely fit right in as she loved the boat ride and even went for a short swim.

While she will never take the place of our recently deceased and beloved Emma, she certainly does fill the void in our heart and home that we have had since her passing.

Anyway without further delay here she is!!...

Dan

Talking Excellent!

As you stated, no dog could ever take the place of your beloved Emma, but a new puppy certainly helps to heal the heart. Congratulations to you and your family!!!

She is so cute! She is a very lucky little girl to come to a home who considers their pets as members of their family. I'm sure you will enjoy each other.

Default Congrats!

Well, GMP - they ARE members of the family. All our four-legged critters. And, as RG stated, this little angel will help to heal your heart. Congratulations. Wish our Labradoodle, Cosmo, would go swimming! He is a year old and even with 4 ducks in the water only 8 feet from him, he will only race into the water up to his chest. He doesn't like it when his paws are not on solid ground. Enjoy.

I had the pleasure of playing with Hailey at the Glendale docks the other day. I was thinking of dogknapping her but Dan kept a close eye on me

Very Nice Dan...

They are so much fun as puppies, of course Gamble at 2 years still acts like a puppy... If Hailey wants some swimming leasons from another 4 legger let me know... Gamble loves to show off, he swims, he dives for rocks, and new to line up this year he jumps off the dock.

Default Cosmo on the float

Spent a week in VA (very hot) with Cosmo, at Smith Mountain Lake in Roanoke. He still is leery of the water, doesn't particularly like it, but we did get him onto a float in the lake, and he got to a point where he calmed down enough to almost take a nap!! I (hopefully) attached his photo to this post!

When are you bringing Cosmo to one of your favorite spots on the lake so I can meet him? I have missed you coming by our raft this summer. So...you were at Smith Mountain Lake. As you know I once resided on that lake. I will take Winni over it in a heart beat. I bet is was hot and humid down there!

You're thinking of "What About Bob".

Quote:
During the fall of 1992 the movie "What about Bob?," starring Bill Murray and Richard Dreyfus, was filmed on location at the lake and in the nearby town of Moneta. The signs and buildings in Moneta were repainted to portray the town of "Lake Winnipesaukee". A home on the lake was used as a set and a 3/4 scale duplicate was constructed on a similar point of land nearby, and ultimately was blown up for the film's finale.

Cosmo must like the water better at Smith Mountain Lake then at Lake Winnipesaukee. Personally since I have had houses on both I would choose Lake Winnipesaukee. Cosmo was near my house a couple of weeks ago and donnamatrix could not even coax him into the water by offering treats. Maybe going to doggy paddle school might help. He is a beautiful dog, but presently he wants to be a land lover. Maybe he needs another dog to swim with.

Default Love Winni too

Smith Mountain is okay, but I don't think can compare to Winni. Plus it's so darn hot in Virginia. Ugh. GBG: It's funny, Cosmo will sit patiently and let me pour buckets of water over him to cool him down, but he is still quite timid with water over his head.

Let's put Cosmo on my raft and see how long he will stay there until he swims back to your boat. Maybe he would stay there for a few days. Then I would be able to enjoy him 24/7.
