Default Shed Roof

Not a big job (30'x10') but looking for someone to strip and shingle a pitched shed roof in Meredith. Thinking roofers are in short supply but maybe someone has a name for me
Thanks

Hi-

I hired Jake, the owner of JMS Roofing who lives in Wolfeboro to do our shed, 2 garages, and the house last June. I've given his number out frequently, it
is 603-520-3481

He sent a giant crew who worked non-stop and did great work. I'm not sure what his schedule is like this summer, but it's worth a call.

All the building supply outlets have a list of contractor contacts.
Just call and have their roofing salesperson e*mail you a list.

It is the fastest way to get several names and contact information.

Excellent insight.

Also, the Home Depot and Lowe's can get this done for anyone.

It isn't insight... I actually do this.

For HD and Lowes, any associate near a computer or carrying a handheld should be able to enter a lead. The contract team estimator will arrange to go to the site and make a bid.

For the local yards, we have contractors that drop off their cards on the counter. So it got easier just to make a digital contractor list, it can be printed out or handed out.

The HD and Lowes teams are going to use the specific products in the store, while the independent is going to find out what product you want. They may even work by the color that you are looking for, if you are willing to accept that brand.

I have a question about this. In getting roof quotes, I noticed that the quote for a 4-person team working for 2 days quoted a labor price that was twice as high as the 2-person teams also working for 2 days. Why is that?

The first is quoted at 4x2 days for labor, the second at 2x2 days for labor.

Checked with Lowes and my shed is only 300sq ft and below their minimum
for their contractors.
Went on Angies list and they gave me the name of a roofer in Silver Lake and one in Rochester that are in their network.Too far for a small job.
Might have a handle on a handyman willing to do the job

Just call one of the locals.
We all have the same lists, because there are only so many independents in the area.

I could give a partial list, but may miss someone that has an opening.

Maybe you and Sailin Away should team up as it would be a bigger job.
