How old is your boat?
Please select the option that represents the age of your boat (based on the model year). Thanks!

Might be a stupid question.. Should we specify years the boat is old or years you've owned it? I took it as my boats a 2013 so it's 3 years old but could see some confusion of someone thinking I've owned said boat for 2 years so it's 2 years old.

...... such a steal-of-a-deal!
For what seems like a bargain basement, steal-of-a-deal price.....this recent last December....I got through craigslist-nh from a fsbo seller for $6000 an 18 1/2' 1997 Maritime Skiff center console, amazingly so complete with a very solid looking aluminum tee-top, and a dark blue Sunbrella stand-up enclosure that just totally encloses the center console and tee-top ....along with a '97 Mariner 75-hp two stroke, and an old beater trailer with home made bunks. Supposedly, the price started out at $10,000 maybe 8-months earlier, and as time went by, the price got worn down. When I saw it in December, it had an asking price of $7000.
See you out there ...... and cannot wait for ice out! Maybe I will name it the 'Steal-of-a-Deal'? And, then again ...... maybe not? And, will today's bargain become tomorrow's headache .... time will tell? ........ Here's a question: If I was to remove the 75-hp Mariner two-stroke, and replace it with a 2002 Suzuki 70-hp four-stroke that I already own ...... how doable is this in terms of electrical connections? For lifting the motors on and off, I figure I can make a teepee stand with three 12-ft 2x4's and a come-along lifter or a winch...but am not very sure about the wiring hook-up compatibility? Supposedly, www.maritimeboats.com are made in Dover, New Hampshire ....... where ever that is ........ and I am very surprised my boat was actually built here in New Hampshire ........ who knew that NH has a boat builder?

We purchased our first boat in 2005, it was a 1976 15' Chrysler tri-hull with a 75 hp Chrysler outboard two stroke. It was a real cream puff but we only paid 1200 dollars for it. Replaced the starter and the fuel lines, bought new seats and it was great. We did not worry wether we got out a lot as we did not have much money wrapped up in it! We towed it around to different lakes and ponds and had a great time with it. We sold it in 2015 as we bought a new Stingray sport deck boat. We got 1000 bucks for it! Sometimes when I think about how much we spend to boat now, I kind of miss it!

+20 Bought my 1994 Sea Ray 220BR Signature Select in 1994. My first and only boat. I've had it sidelined for the past 6 years but am putting it in this year. It just went through a full checkout and test ride and there are no problems beyond routine maintenance. Whew! Eagerly looking forward to getting out.
I have been eyeing the 2016 Sea Ray 230 SLX but that's just a sweet dream at this point. |
