Little black flying bugs
We seem to be invaded (by the tens of thousands) with these small black flying bugs. And we are on the waterfront. They are about 1/4 inch long, have black wings, and attach to everything. Seem to enjoy shade vs. sun. They are a real pest. I have looked at them closely. They do not appear to be a flying ant or termite. They do not bite. They busy themselves crawling around the ground quickly, then flying onto your clothes, etc. We seem to get them each year, but they disappear after a few weeks. Any clues as to what they are?
