Summer School in Wolfeboro - The Hill School Camp
I was walking through the guidance office in one of the schools I work in recently and a poster caught my eye. It read, "Season for Success - A Summer Boarding School in Wolfeboro" Since my curiosity was piqued, I checked out their WEBSITE. Turns out I have some postcards of the place.
The Hill School Camp is now known as the Wofeboro Camp School located on RUST POND in South Wolfeboro. They offer a boarding school experience with an extensive array of academic offerings....very impressive. I can't find much about the history of the place. Can anyone help out? from their website Quote:
This would actually be Rust Pond with Lake Wentworth(?) in the distance. From the back of the postcard... Quote:

MCD. I am wondering if the picture labeled "Camp Winnipesaukee" is really Wolfeboro Camp School, previously known as Hill School Camp. Rust Pond is wider than it looks in the picture unless that is a drawing not a photo and is inaccurately drawn. It was and still is an exclusive summer tutoring camp school for kids.

McDude,
The old postcard may in fact be an idealized picture or the lake could be Winnie in the distance. The location of the Camp School is on the north part of Rust Pond(the immediate water). Wentworth would be in the opposite direction. The part of Winnie opposite the School would be South Wolfeboro Bay which is in a deep hollow. Maybe it could be a section of the lake by the Varney Islands. The area years ago was cleared of trees which today block the view. The map is accurate in placement but greatly out of scale.

I can agree with Flboater, that the lake in the distance could be Winnipesaukee around Wolfeboro Bay, if the immediate lake was indeed Rust Pond. I am thinking Winni would be hard to see though. The camp does face west toward Winni. Rust Pond just looks much wider than that from the camp school though. (See how much wider the pond looks in the bottom two pictures. The camp was never called by that name so don't know why the picture would be labeled that either. Have been trying to think what other camp that could have been.

McDude:
My dad did some summer school time at the old Hill School camp on Rust Pond. This would be in the very early 50s.
