Samsung phones
My wife's Samsung 6 just died. She doesn't really need anything fancy, but neither of us know that much about the current different models.
The Verizon people seem intent on trying to up-sell us, which we understand, but can anyone make a suggestion for the right model of Samsung to replace the 6? We expect it would be an upgrade (abilities/price?), of some sort, but that's technology She texts, googles, takes pictures- again, doesn't seem all that fancy. Thank you in advance. |

I had a S6 and upgraded to the S8. I like it much better than the S6. No need to go to the S10.

I opted for the S9 and so far it has been a vast improvement over the Pixel (with battery problems) that I had.

Just after the S10s came out and the S9 price was reduced a bit we went into Wireless Zone store in Lakeport. We had researched the S9 and planned to upgrade from S6 to S9. We also planned to also look at the S10e.
At that time there was a special promotion, $200 trade allowance for an S6 if one of the S10 models was purchased. The made the S10e price just about even with the S9. The S10e is almost the same size as the S6 but with the top line processor and 128G of storage. So we each left with a S10e. If the S10e would have been $200 more then we would have gone for the S9. The S10e is a great phone especially the camera. Also the reception problems that we had with the S6 at home in West Alton went away with the S10e. Our only gripe is that the notification LED was eliminated on the S10e. |

Best but s10E
Best Buy currently has the Samsung S10E unlocked on sale for $349.99. Seems like a pretty good deal. We bought unlocked phones on sale at Best Buy and have no regrets. The S10E has a flat screen which I prefer. I recommend staying away from the curved screen because a case doesn’t really protect the screen. Not sure how long the sale is going on.

Replace with same
My S6 died 2 years ago. I replaced it with another S6 by purchasing it on EBay. You can choose from refurbished to new. I used the same to replace my daughters and granddaughters phone. Look for sellers that offer 90 day guarantee
and free returns. It takes a a little work but i considered the savings well worth it. Also be sure to looked for unlocked an or Verizon carrier. |

don't know how, or why...
Based on some of your responses I have looked up S8, S9 and S10.
The computer place in Center Harbor handles phones, Verizon, etc. They convinced my wife to buy the Samsung A50. Don't know where that came from, but their price was only $40 more than Amazon, and we feel good doing the business locally and receiving service from a well respected company. "A happy wife..." Thanks, again, for the input- I'm sticking with my flip phone! |
