Fruit Trees
Anyone have good results growing fruit trees in the Wolfeboro area? If so, what kinds have done best?

I'm on the other side of the lake... but I find it easiest to see what the Big Boxes are selling. Those plants they try to stock are the easiest varieties to grow. You don't have to buy from them... but they tend to limit the options.

I planted a couple of Tart Montmorency Cherry trees in Moultonborough in the Fall of 2020 and they are doing well. They are still too young to have a yield large enough to harvest this year, but I am hopeful for next year. There typically are large discounts available in the Fall and the trees weathered Winter well after a Fall planting.
