Default Mt Washington 150th Anniversary Cruise

Shout out to the Mt Washington management and crew as well as town of Wolfeboro on a great 150th Anniversary Cruise and celebration. We had a great time Friday evening. Everything was very well done and it was a great cruise. Town of Wolfeboro did a great job with the laser light show as well.

We make it a tradition to cruise the Mount at least once every season and have always enjoyed it tremendously. We are fortunate to have this piece of history still cruising the lake!

Default Mt Washington 150th Anniversary

I live in Wolfeboro, and I know that the Selectmen, and many other Town workers and Volunteers, worked very hard to make Friday a great day for the Mount. Wolfeboro was as busy as I have ever seen on both Friday and Saturday, so a HUGE thank you to all the visitors who came to Town to visit Wolfeboro and to thank the Mount for its service to all of us.

At $48.50/passenger ($42 for the 2.5 hr narrated cruise around Lake Winninpesaukee plus $3-transaction fee plus $3.50-fuel surcharge) a single admission ticket costs the same as filling up the gas tank on your small car.

The 230' x 35' .... M.S. Mount Washington is powered by two low emission, high efficiency Caterpillar diesel engines, installed in March 2010 ..... www.wikipedia.org/wiki/MS_Mount_Washington .... and funded by a U.S. federal scrappage funding grant .... http://www.wikipedia.org/wiki/Car_Al..._Rebate_System .... colloquially known as "cash for clunkers." .....

Something to ponder as you enjoy your very scenic ride up and down New Hampshire's big lake. These two new engines give the Mount more power, better control, lower exhaust emissions and increased fuel efficiency.
