Steamboats
Saw 2 in the breakdown lane on 495 just before the Rte 3 exit yesterday on my way back from Scranton, PA. Hope they were taking a break and not broken down.

I thought some of you might enjoy this 36 minute 16mm home movie of Lake Winnipesaukee from way back in 1929. Truly amazing ...

Made it over on Saturday, unfortunately by car due to the NW wind picking up on the Broads. Having a 1.5 yo kid I had to think twice of having him bounce around.
Anyway, he loves boats and had a great time walking along the shore. Thank you to the captains that decided to "salute" him with a group whistle blowing. He wasn't quiet sure what the think of it at first, but the whole way back in the car he kept "Toot Toot". It was nice to get an up close look at them this year. Wish I was able to get back over this weekend but will be away at a wedding. There were still a bunch on their way in on the trailer while I was leaving. Great time and great people on shore!!! |
