The size of your boat in that 36ft slip can make the deal seem better or worse, if you have 36' boat in a 36 foot slip then the deal will seem sweeter than if you are putting a 28 foot boat in that 36' slip. The best thing you can do is find a slip that fits your boat size so you are not paying extra for a slip that is too big for your boat, and yes you should be able to find some sweet deals out there.
