Default Dead possum in lake

This is probably an extremely stupid question. I awoke this morning to find what I think is a dead possum in our boat area. The area was dug into the land and it is right up against the beach. It isn’t going to float back out on its own.

Any idea what to do about it? I am NOT dealing with it myself.

If it was me I would just put a pair of gloves on and throw it in a trash bag...But since you don't want to handle it yourself, do you have any neighbors willing to do it?? Seems like a waste of time and money to call in a pest control company or similar. I guess you could call the town and see if they will send someone over...

Good Luck!

Dan

I’d dig a hole, a couple feet deep and bury it. Or you could spend a bunch of money and call an exterminator to grab it.

Cannot do it myself. Broke my wrist. My neighbors are all quite elderly or just not here yet. I did call the town and they said they would send someone.

Good suggestions, though!!!

Question Call NHDES?

NHDES may want to report a wildlife victim of cyanobacteria.

Give it a day, a predator may do the work for you.
