Cool Window A/C Units...

Maybe you don't need backup units, but my BIL (the literal "Maytag Repairman") has set
aside some extra units of 5000 or 6000 BTUs. (They all look alike).

If it's hot enough, we'll sell all but one--your choice--for $30 each.

Please respond by PM.

Default Check your local dump.

Some towns have good working A/C ready to take away. Hit or miss as to their condition. I had pretty good luck. Just make sure you clean the appliance.

Just picked up two new window units at BJs. Good sale going on. 5000 for $129. Did cost me $30 each at the dump to toss out the older heavier units

Default Baron's

They have the latest inverter A/Cs at competitive prices. They will match the big box stores. When I brought my old unit to the store, they did not charge for disposal.

My BIL is a retired "Maytag Man". He spotted a dozen clean A/C units at the Wolfeboro transfer station, and tested one (there) from his RV. A dozen others were identical, but had the cords cut off.

Working on the suspicion that all were replacements from a condominium (replaced upon a failure of just one), he gathered three of them up, and brought them to our place on Winter Harbor. New cords were installed, and the units operate satisfactorily.

As it's turned out, we have used the previously-installed older units only once (sometimes never) during the season, so my BIL says "Get what you can for them".

So I'm offering three of the four for $30 each. ($50 for a pair). You get to pick of four—just leave me with one--as our one spare. One in regular use is easily uninstalled from a window. Test-run them here.

Even a small shed can use one AC to dehumidify the contents and discourage rodents.

Offer suspended this Labor Day weekend—forced by rental of this cottage. The units are fairly light, so pick them up by car or boat.
