Federally documented boat
My boat is registered federally. I want to take my bow numbers off this year, but I am unsure of how to get my registration sticker for NH without paying the full registration fee. I have seen other boats which are documented on the lake with active stickers and no bow numbers. Anyone know the process here?

Federally documented boat
A documented boat doesn't have to have Bow Numbers but you still pay the full registration fee to the the registration decal.
If your asking the question then I assume you did not sumit the paperwork to the Coast Gaurd for doumentation. You will have to contact them to get the process going. Here is a website to start. http://www.uscg.mil/nvdc/ |

USCG Documentation
My last boat (in Massachusetts ) was USCG documented and I don't recall paying a registration fee to Massachusetts. Possibly in my old age forgetfulness is reality.
Any how it was a 37' Egg Harbor Sportfish, "Empty Pockets." I am a retired workaholic and continuing aquaholic. Hope all is well with everyone as we enjoy Southern California for the winter. See you next spring from the captain of the "Izzy Anna." |

My specific search was for Federal documented vessel being operated in NH inland waters, not just in general. The answer referenced the Boater Education pamphlet, but not a specific RSA. One could always read the RSA's from stem to stern, or call the NH Marine Patrol.
Woody38, not sure if you were using your Egg Harbor in MA Inkster waters or in the ocean. Seems like that matters here in NH. Sent from my GT-P5210 using Winnipesaukee Forum mobile app

Here is a link to FAQs about documentation. It should answer everything you need to do. I don't know if I inserted ythe link correctly.

I'm no longer a boating aficionado, but the question did pique my curiosity.
“Registration is required on motorboats of any size, and sailboats or sailboards 12 feet in length or longer. The only exceptions are sailboats and sailboards under 12 feet in length, other small, non-motorized vessels such as canoes and kayaks. Coast Guard documented vessels are subject to registration. Registration certificates are renewed on an annual basis.” http://www.marinetitle.com/boat-regi...-Hampshire.htm https://www.nh.gov/safety/divisions/...ation/boat.htm RSA’s: http://www.gencourt.state.nh.us/rsa/...-E/270-E-2.htm http://www.gencourt.state.nh.us/rsa/...-E/270-E-3.htm http://www.gencourt.state.nh.us/rsa/...-E/270-E-4.htm http://www.gencourt.state.nh.us/rsa/...-E/270-E-5.htm |
