We're looking for someone to dig a 75' long x 18" deep trench in our yard for a reasonable price. Our home is located in eastern Wolfeboro. Does anyone have any recommendations as to who might do this?

I'm assuming you might be asking because of your physical condition, but if not, most home stores rent a Ditch Witch which would dig that up in an hour or two. I think it cost us $100/half a day.

Hehe, thanks for the response. I'm not nearly as young as I once was but I can still handle moderate outdoor projects.
I've never used a ditch witch, but from what I've read they don't do well with large rocks. We seem to be blessed with an abundance of basketball-size to watermelon-size rocks lurking under our turf so I suspect the job will require something a bit larger. |

if it were me, I would contact a few of the local landscape companies and look for someone with a mini-excavator that is equipped with a hydraulic thumb. Good luck!!!

I agree with the other recommendations, that is a fun DIY job with the right rental equipment. This is also assuming you have adequate clearance in the yard to get the equipment in and out.
My guess is that any of the local landscape contracts could do that in less than half a day.

I've done the bobcat thing. The learning curve is three hours.
