Beginning to start getting bids for installing a perched beach. Looking for recommendations for contractors that have been hired for this in the recent past.
Will most likely need a 5ft retaining wall with stairs leading to the beach area and then a shorter wall with granite stairs leading into the lake. The sand area will be semi-circle approx. 14-15ft at its deepest pt with approx 10 cu.ft. of sand. Any approximate estimates for this type of project would be appreciated. |

I had a bad experience with Watermark. Ambrose way better, at least in my experience.

Received bids from Winni Marine and Ambrose that are comparable....trying to decide on who gets the job! Winni Marine wrote their quote in a very general terminology...Ambrose was very precise in their description what they would be doing. Not sure that means much since I've heard positive comments about both.
Any advice from those that have had experience with either would be appreciated. Big financial decision....Thanks |

Don't have experience with either company but will tell you not to underestimate the importance of a good detailed quote. It tells you a lot about the business you are dealing with and if something comes up you have explicit language on the scope of the job.

Dan, I hope you use of the word "just" means within the last day or two and they're on their way around the point to my job. We appreciate it when the job sequence means not moving the barge vary far.
We've had Winni Marine do several jobs over the decades. Always good work and they stick to quote. Check to see how long the quote is good for if you're doing work that requires permits. Winni Marine is good about this. No experience with others on that issue. |
