1956 Chris Craft
I am in search of a Sales Catalog featuring '56 CC Boats. Would like an original but also interested in a copy. Catalog must have info on the 17' Custom Sportsman with KBL engine option.

'56 cc
You can watch Ebay Motors, CC brochures come up frequently.
Are you aware of The Mariners Museum in Newport News, VA? http://www.marinersmuseum.org/ They have all of the archives from Chris Craft and can provide all kinds of information. If you own a CC you can send them your hull serial number and they will send you a copy of the original factory work order for your boat showing all options, serial numbers and ship to date and location. Great resource. You can also join the Chris Craft Antique Boat Club and get access to their archives which contain scans of all kinds of brochures and ads from all years. http://www.chris-craft.org/ I am currently restoring a '48 CC Dlx Runabout with the KBL engine. Good Luck, Denis D

Go to the Antique and Classic Boat museum in Wolfeboro, they will have info for you or put you in touch with someone that does. I know my Dad must have info because he has a 56 Capri. and he belongs to that club.

I know Jack Irwin has a copy of most all the Chris Craft brochures going way back. Of course they aren't for sale but I'm sure he wouldn't mind you taking a look or even some copies.
